Two of Japan's most interesting attractions are located in the Hiroshima area.
The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, located near the epicenter of the nuclear bomb dropped on the city, is dedicated to the promotion of world peace. A short distance away by train and ferry is Miyajima which is famous for its Itsukushima Jinja Shrine. The Shrine's red torii gate appears to be floating in the sea during high tide.

ITINERARY

One day prior to departure

Train tickets and hotel voucher will be delivered to your hotel.

Day 1: Kyoto - Hiroshima

Transfer to Kyoto Station on your own and board a Shinkansen Nozomi / Hikari super express for Hiroshima leaving between 8:00 a.m. and 10:30a.m. Arrive at Hiroshima between 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Specific departure times or seat assignments cannot be designated.
After arrival, free at leisure.

Day 2:Hiroshima - Kyoto

Free at leisure until departure.
Transfer to Hirosima Station on your own and board a Shinkansen Nozomi / Hikari super express for Kyoto leaving between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Arrive at Kyoto between 5:40 p.m. and 8:50 p.m. Specific departure times or seat assignments cannot be designated.

REMARKS

1. You will be responsible for any transportation charges other than the Shinkansen tickets between Shin-
Osaka/Kyoto and Hiroshima.
2. Train departure and arrival times are subject to change according to changes to schedule or season. Refer to
the information provided on the day before the tour for details about train numbers and times.
3. Travel on the Shinkansen may not be replaced by another train service. If you miss the designated Shinkansen,
you may get an unreserved seat on a later Hikari or Kodama train on the same day.
4. Reservations must be made no later than noon three days before the day of departure.
5. This tour is for overseas tourists. Residents of Japan are not permitted to participate.
